Can I add a thickener to the formula?

Mammas my baby has been put on Aptamil Pepti 1, and as soon as I start feeding her she is coughing and spluttering and getting overwhelmed by how fast it’s coming out and it’s a size 1 teat. Can I add a thicker like Carobel please?

I tried carobel when my baby went on it and it made her have constipation and a bad belly. I tried gaviscon infant of the doctors and that worked really well.
