Hiya. So my little one has been on aptamil pepti one for about 2 and half months now. She’s been great on it up until about 2 weeks ago where she’s been throwing up more than usual and up to 3 hours after feeding. I’ve been to the doctors today and they’ve prescribed her gaviscon. I’ve just gave her the first bottle with it in & she has thrown this up. Just wondering if anyone’s in a similar situation…

I’ve seen on Facebook a lot of people having problems with a particular batch of pepti casing sickness, upset tummy ect so could be that. Lots of people have sent it back to Aptamil for them to look into as it’s not on the recall list!
We have pepti and gaviscon but she’s never sick so I can’t help on that side but thought I’d mention about the bad pepti batches x

My daughter is nearly 10 months old and she has been on gaviscon since she was 3 weeks old and aptamil pepti 1 since she was 9 weeks old. She was a very sicky baby. Her GP never told me but I read it on the leaflet in the gaviscon box that if the baby is over 10 pounds they need to have 2 sachet with bottles. I went back to my daughter’s GP and ask them to prescribe more gaviscon. My daughter was going through 3/4 outfits a day and 10+ bibs a day. Weaning has helped and the sickness has stopped. My daughter was vomiting constantly even hours after her bottle. We couldn’t hold her certain positions or she would just vomit. The gaviscon won’t stop the sick coming back up it just makes the milk thicker xx
