Chicken pox

Hello,
My toddler has a suspected case of chicken pox.
Shes got a few spots on her back, oje on her arm, one on her head and hand. Now these have appeared what can I expect next realistically?
If she was going to get a temperature etc would she already have had one before they appeared?

My twins both recently had chickenpox. Neither really had a temp and both started with a few spots which grew to lots more spots over a couple of days. Obviously as it was chickenpox the spots filled with fluid then scabbed over; Twin 2 had it easier and hers came and went fairly quickly but twin 1 got it quite bad and her body still has the scars/fading spots. She also needed antibiotics as a couple of the spots got infected.
Go to the pharmacy for chickenpox cream/mousse, do oat baths, give paracetamol never ibuprofen with chickenpox. Hopefully you have a mild case and it passes quickly 🤞🏻

Kay has explained a lot of it pretty well. Oat baths really helped my son with his when they were scabbing (cup of oats in a pair of old tights and swish it in the water until it looks a bit like skimmed milk). I dont remember my boy having that bad of a temperature but his came around the time the spots turned to big blisters.

If LO is scratching, try calamine lotion especially at night. If they are really going for it then you may need to put socks on their hands at night to stop scratching, especially as the scabs heal.

Lots of cuddles and then go with the flow as to how active your LO is. Don't push them to run around if you can see they are tired, but try to get them in fresh air when you can.
