A bit of reassurance needed :(

Hello 👋🏻
I’m 20 weeks pregnant with dcda twins
And have been requested to go for my gtt blood test earlier than originally booked (next week) due to glucose levels within my wee sample
And despite taking the pregnacare max which has iron supplements and eating pretty well (iron rich foods) my bloods have come back low in iron and ferritin so I need to take addition iron and vitamin c tablets
(Which explains why I’m exhausted by 1pm and struggling to work/entertain the kids after school and keep my eyes open)

Should I worry? Or is this pretty normal?
It’s so hard not to compare to my previous pregnancy experiences but they were singletons so I know I should…

They are currently measuring 357g and 329g at 20 weeks and they see happy (no kicks or movement felt yet)

Thank you đź’™

I have didi twins and I didn’t feel them until closer to like 25 weeks… in terms of iron and your glucose levels every pregnancy is different like with my last single pregnancy I had preeclampsia so they were worried I would get it again but I’m 30 weeks now and my blood pressure is still looking good. I wouldn’t worry about anything unless they are worried… the complications you are having are very common things that happen with twin pregnancy. A good option for your iron would be to research some high iron prenatals. For example I was using the ritual prenatals and haven’t had low iron until recently

Anxiety’s going wild now..

For more context I’m 27 weeks today Thursday the 26th March! I went into Maternity assessment on Monday just gone as I was just worried about little man’s movements after being there on the monitor it went green, they did a quick scan said he seemed fine and they could see the waters were good etc! Anyways I had given them a urine sample and I’ve now had the results back saying I’ve got a uti and then something else saying group b strep? I’m now laid in bed worrying my head off, they have told me to collect some antibiotics today but I’ve got my glucose test currently fasting I go into the midwife’s at 8:40 will it be fine to collect after that and I guess I’m just sat thinking is everything gonna be okay? Sorry my minds just going everywhere at the minute

Never had a CO2 check at midwife appts

Is this normal? Or is my midwife seriously lacking? She also hasn’t checked my weight since my 20 week appointment or maybe even earlier which I find really strange.

Anxiety

I’m currently 18+6 and this is my first pregnancy with a BMI of 34-35, and I’m shit scared about my health. Currently, I’m doing alright, but I have this constant fear of getting GD. My mum had GD when she was pregnant with me, and because of my BMI, I’m at high risk of getting it. I have been eating fairly healthily, but just the anxiety is killing me. I had an ice cream just now after lunch, and all I can think of is getting GD. Plus, I have been leaning towards a C-section just because I want to have a little bit of control over the situation (IYKWIM), but I’m also scared of getting the scar infected. I would love to hear what your thoughts are so I could feel normal about it x
