Thoughts on the name Artie?

I love this name 🥰🥰

Its cute but my gut instinct is telling me you'll get asked what his full name is.

There’s an Artie in my daughter’s class, I like it… I’ve always assumed it’s his full name.

I do think it’s different to Arthur? They are two stand alone names, but i see what you mean x

My cousin is Arthur though everyone calls him Art/Artie

I love Artie and I love that he could still use Art as a more formal nickname in case Artie is too playful down the line

i love Artie as a full name! no different to naming a child Archie or Alfie etc - it. doesn't need to be used as a nickname for a longer name. also love Art! 💙

I love it. It was on my baby name list too. Every artie i know was always so gentle and smart and sweet. 2 of my past fave students were named artie lol

I would miss hear it and would think you said Archie, or i would think you were saying Artie as in my son is artistic lol.
At the end of the day as long as you like it absolutely go for it x

I personally wouldn’t assume his name was Arthur if I heard him called Artie! I would immediately assume his name is Artie!

I have a Arthur but we call him Art or Arthur. Something urks me about Artie, just personal opinion. I like Archie though, which is so similar 😅
