Hi mamas, doctors confirmed I have gestational hypertension and are closely monitoring me in the event that this escalates to preeclampsia. I’ve come to terms that I will be induced some time next week but I’m also panicking. Had my first cervical check and I am not dilated at all and my cervix is tucked away.
Can anyone share their positive induction story or words of advice. I feel unprepared, anxious and overwhelmed. I thought I had more time and now I’m spiraling. I’m questioning myself, my ability to become a mother, and just the overall labor & delivery process.

i got induced at 40 weeks because i didn’t want to be pregnant any longer i was in so much pain but they gave me a cervix softener i was only at a 1 when i went in . the cervix softner that they gave me was just a pill the inserted and the next morning my water broken naturally & labor started on its own!! so not much to it but simple and only needed the softner!

Breathe Momma. It’s the hormones talking. Every body is different. Some just need a bit more help with delivery, be it getting started or getting baby out. It has no effect whatsoever on your becoming a mother. You are already a mother, you’ve grown a human!
Also I’ve been eating the dates, highly recommend because last time I had to have a C-section because of gestational diabetes and complications from that.
