Potty training

Hi does anyone have advice? I am usin these holidays now to potty train my son so I took the advice from many other mothers to take the nappy off completely (except for sleeping) and get him used to understanding what's going on when he doesn't have anything that catches the accidents. In the past when I tried many times he often had successful pees and poos in the toilet or potty but now, half a year later I thought he will be even better and more aware but we had only accidents so far today. And that's even though I kept reminding him and encouraging him to go on the potty within the hour after he drank a lot in the morning and then the same a few hours later. He just looks at it quietly and either is scared or doesn't care and runs off. Once he did actually go to the potty all by himself saying he needs a wee which surprised me because he has never done this before but he only stayed there for a few aec and ran off. Then he weed on the floor a few min later. I feel discouraged yet again but part of me wants to persevere and hopes that we can get past this? 😔

My little girl was asking to use the potty and actually doing them on there for a few days so I completely took the nappy off, it was May so it was warm and just left her totally bottom half naked for a good couple of weeks and didn’t ever go out and if we did it was to nursery or my mums so never far in the car. Day 1 was a nightmare but after that she was barely having any accidents, apart from at nursery probs too busy to remember she needed the toilet🤣 good luck! After the first day it wasn’t as bad as I thought x
