Any advice on how to get a baby to take it? She is 5 months old so is rejecting the taste. She is great with bottles despite being EBF, so it’s definitely the taste that is bothering her.
Alternatively does Aptamil Pepti 1 taste any better. That was an alternative my GP mentioned when first prescribing it.
Her CMPA seems mild, so we are in the trial period but she is starting nursery soon so I need to find something that she will take soon.

Mine had aptamil pepti 1 and seemed to like it so maybe it’s worth a try. They all smell funny anyway. X

CMPA feeds contain proteins called peptides which replace the proteins from cows milk, unfortunately they are notoriously bitter tasting so likely will find all milks taste off. Even without CMPA, babies often find transitioning to formula from breast milk difficult because of taste, so best to introduce gradually. Make a bottle with an Oz of formula to start with and top up to the amounts you need with expressed breast milk if you can. Then gradually begin to reduce the amount of breast milk in the bottle and increase the Oz of formula so the taste difference is gradual and see if that helps, it could take several weeks. If still struggling then can try sugar and alcohol free vanilla drops in the formula to improve the taste.
