Currently 29 weeks pregnant with complete placenta previa major posterior, category 4 the most severe. Due to location they don't expect it to move at all.
Been advised at my consultant appointment today they wont leave it longer than 37 weeks for c section, looking like it'll be at around 36+2/3days for me as they have availability with an experienced consultant with previa available that week they would prefer me to have my section with.
Hoping we make it as long as possible šš»
How long did you make it to? Did you make it to your scheduled date or was it emergency due to a bleed?
Those being scheduled - what week are being booked in for?
Feeling very anxious at having a preterm baby, bleeding at any point and ending up having an emergency section even earlier, and consultant also explained the possibility of a hysterectomy at section if the bleeding is too much. A lot to digest.

I had my scan today and also have the same. They will schedule me for 37 weeks because of the risks of leaving it longer. The chances of a hysterectomy are very low. I am currently at 34+ 4 and no bleeding or any other symptoms for now but they say preterm labour is common with placenta previa.
