Tech startup founder here….ive been working hybrid from home and my office for the last 2.5 years…to be honest I feel like right now is the craziest it’s ever been. Daughter has always been with me full time with a some help from my nieces. Idk if there’s such a thing as balance lol I basically go from putting out one kind of fire to another lol I’m also anti screen which definitely makes my life harder (and listen when I say I do NOTTTT judge other ppl, we are all in the trenches so do what you have to do to survive lol cuz I will likely cave at some point lol).

If I’m being honest, I get a great deal of my work done at night and early in the morning. I’m exhausted but I keep telling myself that I just have to make it thru the next couple of years? 🙃 lol idk. Women are superheroes. Nobody will ever convince that isn’t true.

Oh I forgot to add, year 1 wfh was pretty easy….at 2.5 years old now….new challenges because this age you are constantly making sure they don’t kill themselves somehow lol I also forgot to mention that there’s a co-working space where i live specifically for moms and they have supervised play areas for kids which I’ve done a few times. Mostly it just requires me to do a lot of planning. Sundays are for figuring out my schedule for the week, meetings, play dates or whatever and then I just limp thru the week. Fridays I work from my parents house so they get to spend time with her and I just catchup on whatever I need to. Husband is around on weekends so I get a little relief.

I relate to this so much. Being home with little ones while trying to work is definitely a balancing act. Some days feel productive and other days feel like survival mode 😅

One thing that really helped me was finding something flexible I could build from home during small pockets of time. It’s not always perfect, but it’s been such a blessing to be present with my kids while still working toward something for our future.

Sending love to all the moms figuring this out day by day 🤍
