Powdered formula

It might be a stupid question but how do you guys prep powdered formula esp at night to make it easier and faster? LO demands milk and has no patience, will scream like he hasn’t been ever fed. We’ve always used ready to feed milk. Which is way more expensive and not good for the environment.

We have a prep machine and got one from vinted for the bedroom too for ease, its been well used so far in the 6 weeks little ones been here. We also have the nuby cools for out and about so if we didnt have a prep in the bedroom we'd use them overnight.

Ovhad the babymoov milk now prep machine. It sterilized the water and kept it at drinking temp for 6 hours. Think it held a litre of water.

Took 40 minutes to sterilize and get to drinking temp. But meant bottles were quick to make

Formula can be made an kept in the fridge for 24 hours as long as originally made with fresh boiled water. You could also use the nuby rapid cook which you make up the formula in and it cools it to drinking temperature in a round 2 minutes if you prefer to make it up fresh.

We do the hot shot method now that hes having 5+ ounces. We boil water and let it cool in the fridge. When its time for a feed we will do 60ml hot, 90ml cold. Pour the powder into a bottle with the 60ml give it a swirl and then pour 90ml cold into it. Its basically a cheap version of a prep machine. When making bottles we either use equal water 60+60 for a 4oz bottle or more cold water for an odd oz bottle. X

My son screams like he’s never been fed a day in his life but I prefill his bottles with water then just be so fast and do the scoops while I’m walking to baby I shake it pick him up and stay feeding then go sit down and fed like normal!

Would you make a birthday registry for your kids?

My 2 sons are having their 3rd and 4th birthday together. Everyone’s asking what to get them and last year I told 2 people the same thing. I don’t want to do that this year. But I don’t know if it’s rude to make a registry or if people would feel some type of way.

Can you overfeed a formula baby?

My 5 week old is eating 4oz every 2 hours on the dot! Is it possible that we are over feeding him? No he does not spit up often, he will fuss at the 2 hour mark (wake up from sleep as well) until he gets his bottle.
We offer the pacifier after feeding sometimes but I’m worried about offering the pacifier when he fusses incase I miss the hunger queues.

9 months coosleeping baby

My daughter is nine months old, and I’ve been struggling so much for the past two weeks. We’ve been sleeping together almost since she was born. It was much more comfortable for both of us because she used to fall asleep whilst feeding. But for the past two weeks, her sleep has been constantly interrupted by crying; she whines, makes strange movements, and suddenly starts climbing up the headboard. As this happens every half hour, I haven’t been able to sleep at all. I wonder why this might be happening.

Baby sleeps with his head turned mostly to one side ?

Little one is 4 months and I’ve noticed he has a favourite side to turn his head and it’s very slightly flatter than the other side due to him always facing that way, even when he’s awake he faces one way. He can turn his head both ways but even when carrying him he always looks left. I’ve even tried switching his position in the crib but he still prefers one side. and When he’s sleeping I gently move his head to the centre so he’s looking straight but he moves it back to one side after a while. He does suck his thumb on one hand so I guess it could be to do with that? I just don’t want him to have a wonky head or face bless him, has anyone had this ?
I might go to the GP

Breast milk storage

Has anybody used frozen breast milk for bottles after they’ve passed the 6 month storage time? I’ve seen conflicting opinions, but i really want to believe it still has some nutritional value…. I have about 100oz unused and I’d rather not use it for just baths 🥲
