My almost 4 month old hasn’t pooped in a few days. Anyone have any tips to help her go number 2??

Is she breastfeeding? X

I used to find a little cooled boiled water in a bottle helped my little boy. Only 1 or 2oz was enough xx

When I had that trouble a little warm water and barely any prune juice mixed together make sure it’s warm but it worked for me

Also massaging stomach area and doing that foot lifting thing to help them fart works to help loosen up their tenseness from being constipated

Mine was 5month old , was same but no prune or prune juice helped. I was told to give Mylanta (you can buy from over the counter) less than half of a teaspoon. 2 or 3 times a day 1 hr before or after meal . And my son made #2 diaper the same night thankfully

She specifically prescribed this because its just antacid and side effects is diarrhea which my son needed

It’s normal for breast fed babies to go up to a week without pooping. However I was just concerned for my little one because he didn’t go for over a week! He wasn’t crying or uncomfortable. His stomach wasn’t hard. But I was still worried so we did a prune purée yesterday and less than an hour later he went ! A couple spoon fulls should do the trick.

Hope everything works out for your baby! My baby went no 2nd one for a little more than 14days😳 but thank God everything was normal just less eating caused this probably. Only breastfeeding at that time and no enough supply

Pears are good too, when u grate them as sauce

If the baby is breastfeeding they can go without pooping for a week or even 10 days. As long as the baby is passing gas and not having discomfort then it’s fine :)

I got given some lactoluse from the doctors. But they have also recommended a little cooled boiled water to help if your concerned ring the doctors x

This just happened to my almost 5 month old. Gave him 1oz of prune juice in his bottle and it worked so well! Even if you haven’t started purées. I was worried but glad I did it cuz it totally helped!

Rock to Sleep? Or Cry to sleep?

not too long ago, my fiancé allowed our baby to cry himself to sleep because our son was tired. I entirely oppose to this way of nurture I despise it. There’s no way that these tiny creatures who were born with no coping abilities are somehow going to go to sleep with no comfort, I find it absolutely neglectful. I wanna share this topic asking for a mothers opinion as well how do you feel about the “cry it out” method does it work? Does it not? What’s your thoughts on it?

Co-sleeping and a glass of wine?

So this post I know might be a one where you will judge me, but hey I am only human.

I haven’t had any alcohol since before I was pregnant. I’m co- sleeping my 9 month old and I am quite anxious to put her in any risk.

The weather is so nice and I really fancy a nice cold glass white wine on the terrace.

I know the advice is not to drink anything and co - sleep. But my baby is good at letting me know when she is unhappy.

But what is your thoughts?

Cleaning girls privates

My baby is 3 months old, I noticed she was red in between her lady parts. Which would make sense as to why she didn’t want to be sat and kept straightening up her body ☹️ I cleaned with warm water and sudocream.

Mammas with girls, what’s the best wipes? Or do you just use warm water and a cotton pad? How do I keep her little area red free? Does she need a bigger size nappy also? Any advice welcome!

Sex

Has anyone else not done the deed after giving birth yet?

I am 13 weekspp and feeling guilty for not spending 'quality' time with my partner. He's been very supportive and that it's just I feel so tired at the end of the day I just don't have anything left in me.

We also have a 3 year old and I do the housework and I also exclusively pump so any free time I have gets taken up. My 13 weeks old girl doesn't like being held by anyone else apart from me or my partner so handing them off for a few hours wouldn't work she also contact naps during the day which is fine as she sleeps through the night in her cot. Once they go to sleep I'm in the kitchen washing up bottles and preparing for my last pump of the day and MOTN pump I don't usually end up going to bed until 11:30pm.
