I am in the process of switching from breastfeeding to formula feeds for at least during the day as she starts nursery soon. It’s been a long process as we found out my daughter has CMPA so we needed to find the right formula.
My issue is she used to breastfeeding on demand and would snack a small amount every 1.5-2 hours except at bedtime when she would have a longer feed. She is starting to do the same thing with formula, which is wasting more of it and I worry she isn’t having enough.
Any advice on how to shift her to 3-4 hour feeding times with a bigger bottle?

My mum always says you are better wasting an ounce than not having enough in the bottle! So I always do an extra ounce for the amount my baby is regularly feeding so my bubba has 7oz every 3 hours (cause he’s a chunk 🤣 and he’s only 6 weeks) so I now do 8oz as he is regularly draining the 7! So if he ever wants more there is more. You do tend to waste a lot of formula milk, it’s quite normal I’d say try and distract baby a bit longer to drag out the in between time with feeds and do an extra ounce from what they usually have! Try pace feeding, and making sure they stay awake, using the dummy for comfort instead of the bottle too!xxx
