My parents created little family traditions for us that we all looked forward to (eg going out for lunch on Sundays after mass and then we all watched our favourite show in our parents’ bedroom together - we’d put mattresses on the floor and “camp”). We grew up away from our extended family so our family nucleus was very strong because we only had each other and I think that helped too 🤍
