Potty training
My boy is 2.5 years old.
He has been telling me for months the when he is wet in his nappy and instantly wants it changed! I’ve tried potty training before but was terrible. Yesterday he woke up and said he doesn’t want to wear nappies anymore and wants to use the potty. So we started yesterday… he did two wees on the potty and didn’t poo all day! He pooed on waking this morning whilst still had his nappy on.
But OMG today he’s been terrible 😂🙃 not one wee on the potty. Refusing to go near it. I’m trying not to pressure him and just accepting it! I want to stick with it now we have started but today we had a poo in pants and maybe 4 wees on the floor (on purpose, he tells me immediately)
Did everyone else find day two tough?
Determined to stick with it! But it’s testing isn’t it.. I have a 5 month old too. And I’m home solo with them both 😂😵💫

For us day 4 was the worst and it clicked on day 5. Stick with it. Good luck!
Day 2 he had 2 poos and 2 wees and day 3 he had another 2 poos by which point I gave up. For the last year he has only ever pooed once a day, typical when he's out of nappies he goes twice a day! I'm going to try again in the summer 😂 I still offer the potty whilst at home just whilst wearing nappies.. just winging it 🤷🏼♀️
