I’m almost 21 with 2 kids and I don’t have my license. I start college in the fall (criminal justice associate of science), I’m a sahm taking care of my almost 1 year old and 6 year old stepson, and I’ll be welcoming my daughter in August.
I’m tired of relying on my boyfriend’s schedule and off days, when I need to grocery shop or drive myself to my classes.
I don’t work, so I can’t pay for lessons. My boyfriend is always busy, so he can’t teach me. My family have alienated me and I just have no one.
You know what they say, closed mouths don’t get fed so I thought I’d just ask.

I didn’t get my license until I was 23. UK here but still, I felt silly not having my license as a parent, especially as I live semi-rural and public transport is so poor. I started lessons when my LG was 6 weeks old, had 7 lessons with an ADI (professional instructor) and passed my test when my LG was 4 months old. I’ll of had my license a year in May and it’s made the world of difference. I borrowed money from my family to pay for lessons as my local instructors would only take batch lesson bookings rather than paying for individual lessons.
