So I had my 37 week appointment at 10:30 4/15. I go in and they take my blood pressure….139/96!!! Eesh not great. Talk with my OB about delivering my complicated placenta (I have a secondary lobe!!) and what I can expect in terms of if there is any retained tissue.
Well, as a surprise to no one, she isn’t happy with my blood pressure. My fluid retention has been pretty bad this week, and I had a headache yesterday but I just needed to get off my feet and drink some water. But they send me to L&D anyway for observation, bloodwork, and urine sample.
Baby is doing fine, strong heartbeat, good movement, and they even caught them hiccuping.
3 hours later and they tell me I’m okay to go home….but that I was borderline preeclampsia. Quite literally ONE point away from being diagnosable. They tell me to keep an eye on my symptoms, and to call them if they get out of hand. And that if it does baby could be induced as early as next week…..two weeks early!!!
So here I am, laying wide awake, telling my mind to stop worrying.

This happened to my sister and according to her she was able to put off delivery for a little while by eating non-processed and low-sodium foods. Not sure if those were doctors orders though or just her own invented method haha
