2 month vaccinations

Hey guys I need some advices on what to do. My 10 week old has her vaccinations next Wednesday (2 weeks delayed due to her being poorly) I’ve been told to bring Calpol and make a bottle up ready for after to soothe her. Can you give them a dose of Calpol before having them or is it only recommend for after? How many does of Calpol can I give her? As on the bottle it says 2 doses only to be given in a 24 hour period.

They say 3 doses after however if it's for a temperature and baby is fine otherwise they can have it for up to 48 hours after. They recommend just giving it afterwards rather than before. My little man had his last week x

Mine had them yesterday, hes slept mostly for 24hrs after having them and had to be woken for milk but now hes happily playing this afternoon. I gave calpol after and then 5hrs later and 3rd dose 5hrs after as he started to get a temp just before bed, as you can give 3 doses, they should provide you with a leaflet that tells you about the jabs and how much calpol you can give. He was a lot more cuddly the last 24hrs and just wanted a cuddle after his bottle and would then fall back asleep, I was advised they can have loose nappies for the next 2 weeks also

Why do people have such audacity?!

On vacation with my husband & our youngest baby (10 months). We’re walking down the street & this older lady sees my baby walking & asks how old she was & I answer. Then she says look at that hair & touches her head then immediately pats me on the back & says congratulations. While I’m sure there was good intent, why do random people feel entitled to touching a strangers baby?! It happened so quickly I didn’t even get a chance to react before realizing what had transpired. Would this peeve you?

Night wakes

Please help😔 my 8 mo has always been a good sleeper, with maybe one wake up through the night but a quick soothe or dummy would send her back to sleep.

At the moment she is waking up shortly after putting her down screaming, I calm her down and get her back to sleep or she will self soothe. She’s then waking again every night for 2-3 hours straight between 1 and 5am and I do not know what to do. I’ve tried everything, cuddles, getting in her cot with her, calpol & ibruprofen (she’s teething), chilled teething rings, Ashtons teething powder, gels everything.

She wakes up screaming, I’ll soothe her but then she just screams bloody murder if I walk out her room so I’m literally sitting in her room with her during the night and I’m exhausted.

I really don’t want to co sleep because I don’t want her to get used to being back in our room then having more issues down the line with her not settling in her room because she’s done so well adapting to being in there

Anyone have any tips or tricks to get them back to sleep? She’s literally wide awake, I’ll try anything at this point, it’s really upsetting me how sad she is during the night😔

I will be going to the midwife today. Please can someone else describe their fist 24hrs breast feeding please so I can get a general idea or if it’s just the way I’m doing it what’s causing it to be soo painful.
Have been using stored colostrum overnight

Jabs

Hi!
My little boy had his first set of jabs and I was just wondering what everyone did medication wise - we did a dose of calpol straight after and I’ve been adding colostrum to his milk. I plan on doing a bath with a bit of breast milk in the morning too.
I know he’s only allowed 4 doses of calpol in a day but how long did you give calpol for? Just the day? Two days?
He’s been teary and fussy since (although he was pretty fussy anyway) how long did you find for your little one to be back to feeling themselves?

Baby gas

Anyone else dealing with infant gas? My baby is 1 month old and grunts a lot and becomes restless. I tried probiotic and gripe water. It seems to work, but not sure how often can I use it. Any other recommendations?

Advice needed

I keep waking up feeling like a bad mum!
My boy is 13 weeks old, for the last few nights he’s started stirring so I’ve popped his dummy in and he’s gone to sleep. This has resulted in me feeding him at about 4/5am after his last feed at 9/9.30pm. After that feed he won’t wake up fully (just stir and I pop dummy in until about 9/9.30am) I’m not questioning whether if I’m starving him through the night! Should I give him the dummy when he stirs or should I be offering him a feed?
Would he settle with a dummy and go back to sleep if he was actually hungry? As I know through the day when he’s hungry nothing settles him other than the feed so sometimes I have to feed him earlier than the 3 hours he usually goes.
Through the day he’s having about 6 feeds and he’ll take 160ml-170ml each feed. Is this enough to sustain such long gaps through the night? He appears to be gaining weight well , hes fit in 3-6months since bang on 12 weeks and he’s a very happy baby when he’s awake.
