I would assume that perhaps English isn't their first language so they weren't sure what it was and assumed it was a pop. I never assume harm is intended.

Yes, I would think it’s bad parenting! Energy drinks can be extremely dangerous to teens and adults, so I can’t imagine letting a young child drink one.

Red bull is lethal, laced with caffeine and sugar. Here it is illegal to be sold to under 16s for a reason.

Yep, terrible parenting. There’s a reason they aren’t sold to under 16s. It’s like how it’s legal for 5 and up to drink alcohol at home. You know it’s a terrible idea, and I would hope no one is giving a 5 year old alcohol, but the ‘it’s legal’ argument is pointless. Things that are legal can also be harmful and stupid.
