Teething/not eating as much?

My baby first tooth is erupting and she definitely seems to be uncomfortable especially at night. We give her frozen teething toys and treats which help a bit but today I noticed she is nursing less and even biting down (on my boob which hurts!) and not wanting to eat very much… has anyone else’s babies ate less when teething? Any tips on how to help that?!

Yes, I had this issue and was freaking out as well. He went from 5min per boon to 2.5min. I’d do smaller but frequent feedings.

Yes and once it breaks through it’s better. Don’t rely on it 24/7 but Motrin and Tylenol can help a lot. I might do Motrin if just one because it’s anti-inflammatory but you can also alternate with Tylenol and Motrin both. Check with you doctor about infant dosing. I usually will do that at night to make sure the baby eats and sleeps well at night.
You could also do the natural teething gels that do help temporarily like a frozen treat help temporarily but something else to rotate through.

My little girl went from 5 oz to 3 oz max with bottle feeds, once they popped through completely back to normal. We gave medicine only at nights before bed when it was the worst. Best of luck!
