Night time sleeping routine

Can you share your sleeping routine with your newborn?

I can’t get my newborn to sleep in his bassinet and I really want to avoid co-sleeping. What I do is I breastfeed him and he falls asleep, but wakes up when i burp him.. i try to put him in his bassinet but he’s too awake and gets too fussy.. so I have to repeat everything again until im too tired so he ends up sleeping on me. If I don’t burp him he gets very uncomfortable quickly and wakes up.

So I had to burp her then put her back on the boob to lull her back to sleep. I think i had to do the back a forth a few times....just got to test it out really. Those days I made sure she was asleep before I put her in. I had to warm her bassinet with a heating pad, shush her with my hand on her chest and have white noise going. Sometimes this had to be done a few times. You aren't failing. You are his comfort and that's all he knows. Just remember that.
