Awake since 5am with constant cramping

I’ve been awake since 5am and have had constant cramping with a couple of tightenings. My husband is due to leave for work in an hour but he has to commute. Should I let him go? Makes me so nervous as this is my second and don’t know how quickly labour could be, if this is actually labour that is!

How is the situation now? How far along you are? Ive started having really painfull BH contractions at 37weeks. Im now 38+4 and those contractions haven't stopped, eased down only. Even my counting app said a few times to get ready,to go to hospital.. 3rd time mama here.
