Failed my glucose test 😭

My numbers are a clear fail & I don’t feel necessary in doing the 3hour test..I honestly don’t think I can make it that long without eating..

My advice take drinks and snacks for after. I didnt fully fail my first glucose but my levels were elevated. Did the 3 hr test and my last level was 44. It was hard not to eat or drink. Good luck mama.

Also fair warning the 3 hr glucose drink is more concentrated...it had flakes of sugar in it 😖

I failed both of mine but my drinks were the exact same.. I ate as close to midnight as I could and then went to my 3 hour test a lot of people fail the 1 hour and pass the 3 hour.. I personally was already prediabetic, I have pcos, and type 2 diabetes runs in both sides of my family so I had 3 things already against me and was bound to fail.. what I wasn’t told going into my 3 hour test tho is that they will draw your blood 4 times 1 before the drink and one every hour after the drink for a lot of people that’s not a big deal but I’m a really hard stick and I was also feeling very dehydrated because you can’t even drink water so that was honestly the worst part for me along with the no eating but we went right after to a restaurant close by the drs office.. I took my iPad and me and my husband watched an episode of a tv show we were watching and it helped to distract me on the hunger part! I’m sorry to hear this tho!

How high was your result? My office says above a certain number its an automatic GD diagnosis and then you just move into finger sticks and diet monitoring.
This is my second pregnancy with it. Daytime numbers tend to be easier to control because they are diet and movement based. Fasting is the hardest because there's not much you can do besides sleep well and reduce stress (super easy to do while pregnant 🙄).
I would recommend looking into myo inositol, its been studied for its impact on insulin resistance in pregnancy for both GD and PCOS so its well documented as being safe for pregnancy. Its from the B vitamin family and has helped me with both pregnancies.
If you have any questions please let me know
