Emoji usage
Hey moms.. just wanted to get a reality check here. Am I overthinking this?
My husband is a contractor and goes to peoples homes for paint, reno etc. I am aware emojis are common for usage in messages but in my head i find it
Too "friendly" or too "unprofessional" to be using it for work related messaging. Today one customer was supposed
To e transfer money and he messaged them it didnt come yet and she was all ill check sorry etc and he says "maybe you sent someone else 😮 "
And idk why i felt irritated by him adding an emoji? Please tell me if im overthinking this? Is this common behaviour? I use emojis with friends and close peers but because hes a guy and these are customers... i found it unprofessional? And maybe inappropriate for work communication? But please engligten me if im being ridiculous and ill find a way to make
Peace with it. I have trust issues from the past so i dont like him being friendly ish at all. And the whole emoji thing kinda made me feel it is too friendly?

It could be normal, but I would be uneasy as well due to my own trust issues. Ask him about it. His reaction should tell you if it was innocent or not
I think its unprofessional but I also think youre overthinking it
You have to find a way to communicate with him and get to a place where you don't feel the need to go thru his messages. You should be able to trust him
it’s unprofessional but i don’t think he means anything by it. might just not want his messages to come off too harsh in certain situations
