Okay so as I said it many times I refused any kind of induction. I am 40+4 today. I wanted a elective section as a plan B for next Friday. However, no space until 14th May. No space for a scan as well l. I am now on a daily ctg monitoring from Monday 4th May. I had another sweep attempt yesterday, cervix softer but still closed. My option for induction is a balloon due to previous failed hormonal induction and emergency section. Im thinking now just to have that peace of mind do try and book induction for next Thursda/Friday, if they obviously have space. Can I please have your opinion and experience with that method??

Just a thought as I'm trying to avoid a hormonal induction, have you considered the diplan rods? That's my next step if my next sweep doesn't work

I had the balloon , found it more painful than the 'discomfort " I was told about . After 24 hours they took it out and it hasn't worked at all. If I need an induction again in the future i will be refusing the balloon!

I had the cooks balloon (2 balloons rather than 1 I believe). It fell out on its own after around 18 hours at 2cm and they then could break my waters.
I didn’t find having it inserted painful and it wasn’t uncomfortable or painful once fitted it was just annoying as I had 3 tubes hanging that I had to tuck into my knickers.
I’d take it over hormones as it may be all you need to get things going x
