When did you leave the house for the first time and what did you do? I understand no crowded places but I don’t want to go crazy being inside 24/7. Can I go sit on a patio at a restaurant with my baby? When did you go to your first indoor restaurant? Or first trip to the grocery store? I feel like I’m being too cautious… or maybe not cautious enough? My baby is healthy, to term and has had no issues. Do I really need to wait 6-8 weeks?

our doctor said he’s fine to go to the grocery store if we keep him covered, and we have been to two restaurants on the patio (also at the blessing of his doctor). he’s eight days old.

Yeah we did trips to coffee shops etc at maybe 4-5 weeks? Before that it was just walks (I also had a section so wasn’t easy to be out!) - I did a lot of baby wearing so felt okay that he was safe with me and no one could touch him x

From day 3/5 with both of mine. Can’t think of anything worse than being cooped up indoors! Unless you’re all going to hibernate anyone who leaves the house can bring something back.
Plus this time I have a toddler in nursery so if baby is going to catch something it’ll almost certainly be from him! x

A couple days for each of mine, it had more to do with when I was physically ready than anything else

Erm like the day after coming home (day 5) litrally walked 5 doors down and back that was it because I was in too much pain

A few days old, I don't remember exactly when because we did it from the beginning so it was just normal
