Mine had hers done when she was 2 weeks old and I’m also still finding it so hard as well some days she will drink really good and other days she’s really not good I know that it can take a while for them to get used to using there tongue again so it might be that have you tried changing teats? If ur bottle feeding x

I’m taking my 17day old to get hers done today! I’m nervous.
Do they give you exercises to do with them or something?
I’m hoping it’s gonna make the feeding better 🙏

Mine had hers done at a week old. She’s 9 days old now and I too have found it a little more painful sometimes when she latches now. She’s still getting used to this new tongue though so it just takes time and more tries for her to get the right position. I just un-latch her with my finger if it’s painful and re-position her head…eventually they remember themselves and learn but she’s still too young to remember the right exact position every time the midwife said to me.
