Hair donation, have you done it before? Anything I should know beforehand?

they might not do it since it’s been dyed but you could try.

Know where you would like it to be donated and if they accept dyed hair or not. It's such an awesome thing to do!

Usually can’t have bleached hair so I would call around where you planned to donate and ask :) I just did it a few months ago. Donated 16 inches of hair and I’m glad. Lol I didn’t expect it to cost me 20$ to ship my hair to the charity but I wasn’t in a distance able to drop it off myself so there’s that. It has to be clean, dry, they prefer braided in a bunch of smaller sections. I might even have pictures of it prepared if you want to message me.

Each charity has their own rules. Some don't accept dyed hair, others won't mind. If it is down your butt, some of your hair would be dye free, unless the balayage covers all of it (?). The best is to google them and find out.

You should do your research and make sure that you find a charity/salon that will accept dyed hair, not all of them do. Also, many have length requirements, so I would research that too. The last time I donated the minimum was 12 inches.
