TW: DV
Do you know a child who experienced DV and never quite recovered from the trauma?

I've talked about my history with DV and how my daughter witnessed a lot before the age of 2, which she still very very vividly remembers. I've had her in therapy for a couple years now and we generally are doing well despite recent loss and life changes. Anyway. I started art therapy with her for victims of DV, and it's been so revealing. There have been so many things I've learned about us individually and together and we're only 4 weeks in.

If anyone can relate to similar experiences, I really suggest art therapy. It's a different experience from talk/play therapy and I think it's easier to adjust to.
