My Mom and I get along the best when we aren’t in the same space or if I’m only over there for a few hours every few weeks to a month.

Advice please! My baby suddenly crying a lot more…

My baby is 4 weeks old today. She doesn’t cry much at all and when she does, I can settle her almost instantly (usually she just wants to BF) or I’ll burp her etc but she always stops.
However, last night, she’s suddenly different. She started getting so unsettled and crying a lot more suddenly and I couldn’t settle her. Managed to get her down for short stretches of sleep but it’s carried in to today where she’s been crying and screaming a lot more and won’t settle.

She’s different all of a sudden and I don’t know if this is normal or whether I should be concerned. 🙁 Any advice or experiences would be so much appreciated!

Hormone drop after stopping breastfeeding

Went cold turkey yesterday after breastfeeding exclusively for 20 months, I am also 9 weeks pregnant. We were feeding approx 20 times a day but have been cutting it down this week and completely stopped yesterday.

My toddler is coping surprisingly well but wow I haven’t stopped crying, when does this end? Mix of emotions, guilt thinking I should have done it for longer, grieving as my “baby” has now gone but excited to get a restful sleep before baby number 2 arrives.

Really sleepy baby

My baby is 5 months and today he’s just been so sleepy I’d say he’s been awake 5/6 hours in the last 24 hours. He’s drinking most his bottles but he does have a cough. I think I’m going to ring 111 anyway but has anyone else been through the same thing and was there anything causing it ?

Want to give up on breastfeeding

Please give me some encouragement to keep going 😭 I love feeding my baby at breast I love bonding with him, but lately it has been a nightmare. As we are approaching week 4 he has started to have trouble. He will latch initially, then when I burp him halfway through he will not go back on my breast. (I burp him hallway through because he gets gassy.) Even with the breast literally in his mouth he is still screaming and giving hunger cues and I don’t know what to do!! I know it is probably trapped gas but even after he burps and spits up some he still does this. But he doesn’t do this when we bottle feed him. I’m torn between trying to push through or just switching to pumping 😭

Touching babies face/hands

I’m currently 10 weeks postpartum and really struggling with knowing what boundaries to have in place for my baby. Originally my rules were no one visited if they had a cold, absolutely no kissing and also no touching his face or hands. These are still what I want as my rules but people are naturally beginning to touch his face and hands without thinking. It doesn’t help that he’s recently discovered his hands so constantly wants to put them in his mouth. I know everyone has their own boundaries and there’s no right or wrong but I’m beginning to feel I’m possibly being a bit over the top? Is it unreasonable to ask this of people?
