I’ve just lost my job 4 months pregnant is it worth applying for others?
I’ve just lost my job because the company can’t afford to keep on any staff and I’m so upset and in a bit of shock. I’m 4 almost five months pregnant and I’m not debating whether it’s worth trying to find another job or wait until after my baby girl is here.

When does your employment officially end ? Is the severance pay any good? Realistically, how long is it going to take you to find a new job ? Can you afford not to have a job for a few months before mat leave ? Can you physically and mentally face a new job at the moment ?
Do you know your rights on SMP regarding your current and future employment?
If you do get a new job, some company policies expect that you work for them X amount of time before discretionary maternity pay comes into effect so this may not necessarily be an option.
I'm about to be in the same situation 🙁The timing sucks! It feels kind of pointless applying for jobs when I already clearly look pregnant. I know employers aren't supposed to discriminate, but they obviously will.
