Rehoming
Hey, Ive been hanging on for years but I have to rehome my Dog Maxi. He about 10 years old, hes very sweet and gentle. Like NEVER barks unless its at his chosen person and its only to say "hurry up". My husband was allergic to him for years and call me horrible, but I didnt care until but youngest had more frequent allergic reactions. Well, I got careless and forgot to shower after playing with him and my son almost lost an eye. So I'm back in the red zone and need to rehome him. I cant put it off anymore. I'm willing to get him a full checkup before you take him. He had an ear infection recently but I think it cleared up. No he doesn't have a formal doctor but he went to Petsmart for a bit. Hes vet actually retired a bit ago before his annual. No chip, he digs, good with babies and children. Likes to sing with you.

What area are you in? Reach out to your county’s animal shelter or just go in person and surrender him.
Shelters would be willing to take him in no questions asked especially since it’s due to allergies! Even if he hasn’t been to a vet in a while, at least you’ll have the peace of mind that he’ll get taken care of and find a good home
