Febrile seizure

Has your child ever had a febrile seizure? If so, how did the process go? My son is two and a half years old, and I am very scared. I would be deeply grateful for any advice.

My child has never had one but I grew up having seizures as a child. I don’t know about everyone else’s experience but it was never painful I was more so just really confused. Knowing that my family (mainly my parents and older brother) were around and helping me helped a lot with the parts I do remember. I grew out of them at 15.

my sister had them as a baby and my nephew its best to keep them out of the son on hot days and no sugary drinks, if theyre sick with a fever watch their temp try to cool them if that dont work go to hospital but the advice given always was lay them on their side during the seizure and call the emergency services, my sister grew out of it and i believe most kids do at 5. Its very scary when it happens the first time because you have no idea what it is but if it happens again you are more prepared!

Breastfeeding constantly

Hello mums 👋 I'm a first time Mummy to my gorgeous boy Albie who is now 2 1/2 weeks old. I've been combination feeding so my husband can bottle feed when I get some sleep for the first part of the night however I have found that when breast feeding I am feeding constantly. He will fall asleep on the breast and despite all the usual attempts, he won't wake up. When I try and put him down or get my husband to take over, he will start screaming and rooting again. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experience of this and if it's normal?

Thanks in advance

Snoozeshade

I was wondering if anyone has used a snoozeshade for the pram. It’s meant to not create heat inside but want a better alternative than an umbrella.

Bedtime

Do you have a set bedtime? I try and start the routine of bath, story, feed and bed from about 9pm but don't know if this is too late. Wakes anytime between 3. 30-5 for a feed and then again at 6 and then wake for the day at 8.30. Only has 2-4 naps during the day - either following feed or when out for a walk

💔💔!!

At this Pacific moment, all I really wanna do is breakdown. I don’t have no more tears to cry 😢 I’m so fucking lost right now💔💔 my biggest issue is that I don’t know how to open up talk to somebody I want to💔💔🥺 I’m dealing with so much shit 😔😔 my people always told me growing up crying is not OK that’s showing your weak 💔😔 that’s showing you’re not going to be able to be in this world 🌍 if you’re weak, I guess that’s why I can’t open up to nobody I’m those kind of people that will hold my feelings in my anger 😡 and then when the moment comes, that’s when I will let it all out😤😤😢 I’ve never been told it’s OK to cry it’s OK not to be OK ✅ I miss my auntie I miss My Cousin 😔😔😔 I Don’t Know 🤦🏾‍♀️ if it’s just hormones because I am 24 weeks pregnant right now but I’ve been feeling like this way before I got pregnant 🤰🏽😔😔 I understand they have people in this world 🌍 That is going through way more than I can ever imagine but everybody still needs somebody to talk to this world is not easy my dad always told me growing up God gave his weakest soldier the hardest missions to see how they are going to handle it and coming from me, I can’t do it no more 💔💔😔 the only reason I’m really stopping is because of My Kids. They are the only reason 👣👣👣💔!!!!!

What age did you stop using a camera/monitor to keep an eye on your little ones at night time?

Co sleeping with toddler and newborn in room

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant with baby number 2. My boy will be just over 2 and a half when baby comes.
I have bed shared with my toddler since he was about 10 months old.
I don’t want to push him out when baby comes but he is a light sleeper and I am worried baby will wake him too much. We already sleep with white noise on all night.
Has anyone else successfully done this? Any tips?
My plan is to have baby in next to me crib, not in the bed whilst they’re so young.
