So my daughter (now 10 weeks one day) was admitted into hospital 2 weeks ago for an infected rash due to scabies and low weight, then over the weekend we were told she has a heart condition called atrial septal defect (asd) which is a small hole in her atriums, it’s not life threatening but it is scary. We were supposed to get out today because she gained weight steadily (like we were told) but now we have to stay another week and if she doesn’t gain enough weight then they need to put a feeding tube in her. We can feed her normally but what she doesn’t finish we put in the tube as a top up. I’m a new single mum so I’m scared to death and just need support.

Are you scared about the condition or the feeding tube ? (I know all of it is scary but just meaning are you particularly scared about one over the other)
