what were your signs you had gestational diabetes if you had it?
does anyone know how you’re tested for gestational diabetes? my maternity unit only does the glucose test if they suspect you have it, i’m wondering if i do have it this time due to my sheer thirst, i cant stop drinking and having pints of water drank in seconds, currently 27 weeks my next midwife app is in 2 weeks.

Every urine sample you give tests for glucose which would be an indicator, if you are suspected you would then be tested with the GTT. Other indicators are baby growth. I was diagnosed at 37 weeks due to big bump and excessive fluid in my first pregnancy, so have been deemed high risk this pregnancy and have had two GTT so far. Speak to your midwife if you are concerned, but excessive thirst is common in pregnancy 😊

I just had my 25wk appt yesterday and they've found glucose in my urine when tested so offered the glucose test which I'm going to do on friday. I've got no signs of anything at all and hoping it was just something sweet i ate before the appointment as she said its possible😅
