Brushing teeth 🪥
Mamas, howww are we brushing our babies teeth without a fight?? He’s 13 month and everyday it’s a fight and he hates me brushing his teeth. As soon as he sees the toothbrush he starts to moan and then just launches it. Some days I just give up and don’t do it but then get major mum guilt 😆🤦🏼♀️ send help 🙏🏻

sit on the floor, put the child laying down, their head by your hoooha, their legs by your ankles, and their arms locked underneath ur thighs... it's what i do for mine and it works, i also just let him play with the toothbrush through the day too as it gets him used to it
I’ve tried this but my toddler just keeps her mouth completely shut 🫠.
What has worked for me:
1. Short YouTube videos singing a “brush your teeth” song.
2. Telling her dad to do it. For some reason, she complies with her dad but puts up a fuss with me 🙃
We put the Blippi toothbrushing song on YouTube and my son loves it so much he’s the one begging us to brush his teeth 😂
You could try looking in the mirror, playing a song that lasts about two minutes to help get the timing right, teaching how to go "eeeeee" and "aaaaahhh" outside of brushing teeth times. Mine also enjoyed going "bleurgghhhh" and blowing raspberries at the end to spit the toothpaste out. We have a dentist set as well for role playing with and mine has gotten on really well with her checkups because we practice, she opens her mouth for me to count her teeth! I'm aware mine is also pretty compliant in comparison to some toddlers 😬 but these are the things we did, she hasn't always liked it but her teeth are always brushed.
Maybe carry them in the bathroom while you brush your teeth? Idk if it’ll work but I’m sure around that age they start to copy most things we do. I reckon doing that a few times and soon he’ll want to be brushing his teeth.
