Girl names are so hard for second baby!
First baby is Magnolia Mae
Having another girl - and I’m genuinely STUCK between 3-4 names & so is my husband. We MIGHT have a 3rd baby after this one but unsure.
I need advice & don’t feel as if I can go to my friends/family about it so plsssss
My ideas: I like the nature theme (Elowyn is a type of tree). I also like the idea of having double letters for first and middle initial since our first has that. But then I also really like the idea of keeping the Ms as first names because it’s a tradition in my family (not m’s, just the initials) but unsure. I have options for each lol
Another thing: I also really like the middle name Drew (my husbands name is Andrew & my brothers middle name is Andrew and I’ve always wanted to use Andrew or Drew for them!) BUT if we have another child I can do that then 😂 so I’m just stuck
We love Murphy because of the movie Interstellar & nickname Murph HOW CUTE and Murphy Drew is adorable! I just don’t know if its weird with Magnolia Mae because that is SO GIRLY and Murphy isn’t - so tips on that would be great. but we also love Daisy (Daisy Drew) and Elowyn with nickname Ellie. Violet is just precious and goes well with Magnolia, but not my all time favorite. My husband LOVES Charlotte nn Lottie but I wasn’t super on board because popularity.
Help please sorry it’s so long 🥲 which one sounds best???

I think with a middle name like Drew you want to balance it with a more girly first name. But if you love Murphy you could give the sisters matching middle names. That would be kinda precious and bonding. Murphy Mae! I personally don’t love Murphy for a child name. I think Murph is a little too different for my taste. Im not big on Violet either. I don’t think u need a flower theme either. Elowyn is cute. You could also call her Winnie. I went with a first name the dad LOVED, Clara, and did my middle name Morgan. So I have the more feminine first name with a unisex middle name. My favorite is Daisy Drew. I like the same first letter. It seems to me that you’re in love with the name Murphy Drew. I don’t think it’s weird to have one baby have a girly name and another baby have a less girly name. I think you should go with either Murphy Drew because you love it. If Drew isn’t set in stone maybe you could do Murphy Charlotte or Charlotte Murphy.
Phee phee is also cute instead of Murph. I’m just not sold on the nickname yet. I think your daughter might not love the movie as much as you and maybe not be in love with being called Murphy. When ur a kid it’s nice to fit in and so that’s something to think about. I think you should wait for the 3rd child to go with Drew, u might have a boy, u never know and then you’ve already used the Drew name. I think Charlotte Murphy is my favorite because then you and ur husband both win. And she can always go by her middle name but isn’t sorta stuck with Murphy if it’s too different for her taste.
