Positive test (UK)

I had my baby in December and had the 4 hourly IV antibiotics during labour. My waters went very early before I was in established labour and the hospital kept wanting to induce me to get things moving quicker but I refused as was having the anti biotics so felt my baby was protected. Had him after about 27 hours from when my waters went and all was well. It’s scary to get any sort of news like this but just do your research and have in your mind how you want to manage it, and you’ll be fine!

Did they need to give you any more antibiotics or was it just one lot??

I had with my first, was given antibiotics when I went in, my labour went so quick that I didn’t get time for the second round as I believe it was meant to be 4 hourly, so I was kept longer after having him just to monitor and make sure baby showed no symptoms, but all was fine. I was specifically told by midwife not to google it as google can be quite scary xx
