Not invited to a family event
Just need a little rant. So we’ve got a family wedding coming up which of course means a hen do. All my family got invited except me. My mum queried it, and the bride said she could invite me because someone else had said no so could watch the baby. Now, yes I’m a single parent but I’m lucky to have plenty of family and a few friends who help me when I need it. It just wound me up because I don’t think “you have a kid” is any excuse, it’s my job to worry about childcare or decline if I can’t get any. Just makes me feel so unwanted as a person separate from my baby. I won’t be going anyway, but it sucks to be the only one left out.

What a horrible reason to not invite you. I would feel the same way. Having kids doesn’t mean you suddenly can’t have fun. Don’t make my child sound like a burden in your life is my saying. I’d be getting a night out planned soon to prove a point 😂 xx
