Baby is too heavy to carry!

My little one has always been on the bigger size so I've never been able to hold him for long periods!
Now that he just wants to be crawling and exploring he doesn't really like me picking him up and holding him for long anyway unless he's feeling poorly or tired etc.
We have his jabs next week and the last time we went he was still small enough to be carried in carrier...
So now do people just carry them into the docs or take buggy to keep them in once place?! Is it frowned on to let him crawl about in waiting room? Surely there's risk of picking up germs in docs surgery? Am j over thinking it?! Or best to have him in buggy whilst waiting?!

Mine is walking and I carry her in and let her roam free!

I wouldn't touch anything in any medical setting, the waiting room must be worse than the toilet bowl! Take the buggy.

I just carried my boy around and walked around the waiting room looking at all the different posters. If not- take his buggy and a snackc🤷🏼‍♀️

Take your buggy some snacks, water and a book/toy! We had ours yesterday and my boy is heavy as well! Kept him in the buggy, wheeled him in, took him out for his vaccines, back in the buggy and out! Worked pretty well!
