Am i Overreacting? I need advice

My boyfriend always says im overreacting. I tell him something upsets me and his answer is im overreacting that im always trying to argue. This morning he gave our daughter pill bottles to hold to so she can walk(he’s given her pill bottles before to play with) and i have and did express how that isn’t safe and is teaching her that she could grab pill bottles before when we aren’t looking and play with them, she knows how to open them so im just trying to prevent her from getting hurt. He says i am overreacting and that im trying to argue, that the baby is totally fine. He says i always take things so personal. What should i do? I am 6 months pregnant right now and we’ve been arguing so much, ive cried so much during this pregnancy. Sometimes in the heat of arguing or me bring upset I question if i even want to be with him.

I’m a pretty lenient mom and I agree, it’s not safe for the baby to hold pill bottles even empty because the baby won’t know the difference.

saying you’re overreacting is to minimize his actions. there’s a 100 different safe things he could give your daughter to hold instead. Now that im in my 30s something I wish I knew in my 20s is, real men take accountability & care about your feelings.

No that’s very understandable, prevention is always the better option dads don’t see things like mom does. i can see how he’s not taking your understandable worry seriously and that would bother me too. when you guys are in a good mood calmly explain to him your feelings and how it’s not personal is prevention and safety for the future that he should respect your judgment as mom as i’m sure you respect his. you probably don’t want to leave him it’s just your hormones being at an all time high. You’re not overreacting queen

He’s not even acknowledging how you feel, just immediately shutting you down. That’s such a red flag. Especially since it’s a valid concern bc she knows how to open the bottles, and a vape!!!!?!? WTAF. That’s like handing a baby a beer bottle, totally unacceptable even as a joke.

Yea, that's a big NO! Adult's stuff is nothing to play with for kids, I don't even buy toys that look like the things they can't have (car keys, phones, cleaning supplies, spices, etc). The things he hands her literally have written on them: Keep out of reach for children!
If, Lord help us, something happens, then what?

You already set boundaries, don't give in. Full Mama Bear mode. He has to either stand beside you or outside the door. It's for the child's safety.

Most men don't have the ability to think about the WHAT IF's... Unfortunately 🙁

At first I’d say overreacting. Because if you’re watching the child it’s fine. We’ve done the same thing because the sound is fun for them. But if they specifically know how to open them then it’s probably not the best. I understand how he can feel you take everything person that happened to us a lot. I think both of yall need to in a way just chill. If your child is being watched then someone doesn’t need to helicopter and be worried what they play with or do. Idk what else yall argue over. But if your boyfriend is dealing with it then let him parent and let him learn. You don’t have to do it all. Yall are both learning. And to both be parents you both need to contribute what yall do and don’t do for your children.
