Hi all, my 11 month almost 12 month old has a really bad nappy rash and I’m struggling to find something to soothe it! Any suggestions? I’m using sudocream, bepanthan, nappy free time but it’s taking a lot longer this time to heal than previous time. It is very red and I just feel so bad for him

You probably have already done this but are you using just water to clean him when changing his nappy and pat drying? We found Sudosalve good, it’s only meant for a very short term use but did the job. There’s also Daktarin which you can get over the counter, then you still put a barrier cream on top. It’s always worth talking to a pharmacist or doctor though if you’ve tried everything x
Yeah we have been cleaning him with water every opportunity we get, and I think we just purchased sudosalve! Really hoping that helps but wanted to check to see if anyone had other options too just in case! Thank you! ☺️

Have exactly the same problem at the moment. Sudosalve cleared it up within a couple of days the last time this happened but not this time. So we went to the doctors today and they prescribed a cream. If everything you've done doesn't start to help, I would recommend going to the GP

Kit & Kin magic salve - it’s not cheap but works wonders. My LO doesn’t get it often but when she does it clears it up quickly

Sometimes nappy rash can lead to a yeast infection/fungal infection which is impossible to get rid of without an over the counter cream from the pharmacy/GP.
