Those with toddlers aged 3+…
Do you have a stairgate at the top of your stairs?
For context my daughter is still happily in her cot so has never had the option of leaving her room at night. Considering taking the side off soon, and wondering if it’s necessary or not for this age. She has no younger siblings (and won’t be having any 😂) so that’s not a factor.

When mine were that age yes, I had one at the top and bottom of the stairs. Not sure if it’s absolutely necessary but we had already had them up when they started walking 🤷🏼♀️
I have a stair gate at the top of the stairs but none at the bottom, I use to have one on the lounge as its round a very small corner of my stairs, but shes mastered those stairs like nobodies business, although as stated I do have one at the top as I worry in her sleepy state if she wakes in the night whilst im downstairs she'll fall down them
Yeh I would still have one at the top even for my 6 year old! Like said if my daughter wakes up in a sleepy state looking for me she could take a tumble and I’m not risking it. I have an 18 month old now aswell so ours will be staying for many many more years.
We moved house just before she turned 2 and never put one up.
Same time she swapped into a floor bed too.
