Hello,
My little boy has had a cough for 8 weeks now not getting better, of course he’s been to the doctors and had antibiotics which helped for a week and now it’s back worse than before.
I kept getting told it’s normal as he’s in a childcare setting 3 days a week. Anyone else having anything similar? Am I just being palmed off should I push again for further testing ? 13 months old for reference
TIA

I'd maybe take him back again, but this was the case with my son when we lived in refuge, all the kids were constantly passing around illness. Now we have moved out and he doesn't get ill as often xx

My son who is also 13 months old has had a cough for about 6 weeks, been to the doctor 3 times and has had antibiotics but still not shifting.. i was told that due to nursery its just one virus after another.. its so hard to watch him be constantly unwell xx

my son had a cough/cold back to back from january until march whenever he recovered it would be weeks before he caught one again, he didn’t start nursery until april.
when i took him in he had antibiotics for a viral infection and given an inhaler
the inhaler was a game changer, i do believe he has a level of asthma which is causing the coughing but he’s much better now

My LO had this she had countless doctor visits and I demanded a referral in the end because it was constant her chest was always so chesty and she ended up being given a pump which helped massively and she now has suspected seasonal asthma/bronchitis but they can’t fully diagnose her until she’s 5 years old
