Has anyone (UK, specifically England) given their child the MMRV vaccine without the chickenpox part recently? So it’d be what was the MMR vaccine. As I know they’ve recently updated it but I don’t want my child to have the chickenpox vaccine as they have already had chickenpox. If so, where did you go for it?

I was going to try hunt it down for the same reason but ended up giving it anyway after talking to a dr who just said that that part of the vaccine wouldn't do anything. I was a bit nervous but he didnt have any issues thankfully. Ive heard some pharmacies you can get it privately but not all though.

I’ve looked into it myself as above, my LG has also had the chickenpox but as the doctor said (and I’ll confirm this when she goes for hers in a few months) that it won’t cause any issues, it’s like if she came in contact with someone else at school/nursery/in public who has the chickenpox, they’d have the immunity, and the body recognises that. You’d never know how many times your child comes into contact with diseases they’ve been vaccinated against, the difference is this time you know 🤷♀️
