Women who settle
It’s really sad how many posts I see about women staying with a cheating boyfriend or husband. It’s especially sad when they are stuck due to financial reasons. Ladies, this is why it’s important to be independent so that you have something to fall back on.

I swear we need to teach in school that you can’t be a stay at home mom unless you have full access and freedom to spend the money and you definitely can’t be a stay at home mom if you aren’t married. Being married at least gives you some protection if you need to leave your husband because you can try to get spousal support and try and get part of their retirement account. But if you aren’t married and where you live doesn’t have common law marriage you will get screwed.
