UTI and 35 weeks pregnant
Hi lovely ladies! Anyone else had a UTI when pregnant? Got a urine test on Monday then results came back with mixed growth so had to do another urine test on Friday (yesterday) and now waiting. When I google it says UTIs in pregnancy can be very serious but last time I had a UTI when I wasn’t pregnant I got treatment much quicker…so I’m thinking Google is maybe overstating seriousness of UTI when pregnant.
Anyone got any experience of UTI when pregnant?

I had a UTI around week 9 of pregnancy and I was given a course of antibiotics that were safe to take. We’re all guilty of googling symptoms and scaring ourselves😂I’m not too sure the circumstances this late on in pregnancy though however I do know they are common! Id just make sure you’re drinking at least 2-3 litres of water to try flush it out. Cranberry juice can be good for UTI’s too. Hope you’re not feeling too uncomfortable! Take care x
I’ve had 3 🙄🙄 they are common because your body down there is going OTT to keep its clean and clear.
Both docs, MW & hospital aren’t phased. They said it’s normal. But all 3 checked what antibiotics I got given. Trimester 1 meds different from tri 3.
I also got thrush from it but can’t clear that until UTI has gone.
