Being induced
I'm booked in to be induced on Friday but they've booked me at the Royal instead of the general. I've had all my scans and appointments at the general and its where I feel most comfortable. Does anyone know who I can call to change it or even if they will let me change it? Spoke to the community midwives but they say its out of their hands.
Just for context before anyone says the royal is fine. I had a traumatic birth at the Royal in 2021 but had a really positive birth in 2024 at the general so it really doesnt sit right with me going to the Royal. I fully understand things can go wrong at any hospital and I could equally end up with a lovely birth at the Royal but I dont want to spend my week and birth feeling anxious because that isnt going to help me or my baby.

ftm and i was down at the general but had all my scans at royal i was then sent to be induced at the royal this year in march for my son and had an pretty amazing experience at the royal i was so worried as i had heard so many story about how bad royal can be but i had a pretty good experience! i think when your being induced they just send you wherever has more rooms maybe ring the hospital and see if they can but i was told if they put my in royal after saying i wanted to go general it’s cause royal has more spaces:)
