Mark on foot

My LO had this red mark appear on his foot around a week ago, not sure what caused it and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better or less red? Any thoughts what this could be?

Do you happen to use an owlet or other foot strap type device? My baby had the exact same mark for a while and i worried it was a mild crushing injury we didn't witness. Turns out when i put on his owlet, I let some skin wrinkle underneath. It wasnt an injury at all and resolved immediately the next day when i made extra sure skin laid flat when strapping it on.
