Formula feed

Hi my daughter is 3 weeks old and we feed her every 3 hours 120ml aptamil formula
Do we stil need to wake her in the night every 3 hours or can we let her sleep for say 4/5 hours if she doesn’t wake herself before then? She’s gone past her birth weight. Just wondering if this is ok or should still wake her?

My daughter is almost 3 months (next week she will be). The doctor told us she has gained her birth weight so we dont feed her at night unless she wakes up on her own wanting more. My schedule usually is when she wakes, I will feed her. She usually drinks 120ml. Her typical feeding is every 3 hours. The last feed is usually around 8:30pm and then she currently sleeps through the night. Sometimes she sleeps long stretches but I make sure maximum by 8am that she is awake and feeds (so she doesnt get dehydrated)

my nurses and midwives have all said as long they are not loosing weight and are over their birthweight to not wake them, they will wake up if they are hungry 🫶 get your extra hours of sleep and enjoy them!!
